About Me
My name is Courtney Harriman. I am from Geneva Ohio and I am currently a senior at Thiel College in Greenville Pennsylvania. I am majoring in Secondary Education (grades 7-12) and mathematics. My expected graduation date is in May of 2020. I chose Thiel College because I knew that the school would provide me with an excellent education, allow me to continue to play the sport I love, and help me reach my future goals of becoming an educator.
Throughout my time at Thiel, I have had a lot of experience in the classroom. I have mentored in classrooms in Greenville, Jamestown, Hickory, Sharpsville, and Commodore Perry. During this time, I received experience through observation as well as through teaching lesson plans to students in grades seven through twelve in both learning support, general education, and advanced classes. I have developed a true passion for teaching that I am excited to use to inspire my future students.
Being involved in Thiel’s campus is something that has always been very important to me. At Thiel, I was treasurer of the Kappa Delta Pi Educational Honor Society, secretary of the Kappa Mu Epsilon Mathematics Honor Society, a Resident Assistant, a member of SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee), a member and co-founder of the Thiel College Fitness Club, and a four year member of the Thiel College Women's Basketball Team.
